Our Story
The small nature of Holmes County 4H led to Jason & Jess meeting early on in high school at The Holmes County Fair. Lots of campfires, movie nights with friends, FFA events, musicals, sporting events, and proms later they graduated, married, and settled into a house in Millersburg.
The first dream was to get out of ‘town’ and it became even more important when Jess became pregnant with their first child. With lots of prayers, in addition to support from friends and family, they were blessed with a home and a little bit of land near Jess’ family farm. Another baby came and as they worked the land and settled into their new property, the once auto repair shop slowly began evolving into a woodworking hobby shop.
The new dream for Jason-a business of his own. A place where his skills and creativity could be combined with a freedom to schedule his own hours. When the late nights and projects were seeming to stack one on top of another, it was time to take the leap- RaeAnn was ready to soar and bring Jason home to the shop for good. No more late nights, no more Saturday’s in the office + a much shorter commute (a 40 second walk in exchange for a 40 minute drive).
Mornings before school run much smoother with Dad home to assist. Kisses all around as the girls all pile in the car and wave goodbye as Jason walks into the shop to start his day. When Jess pulls back in the driveway after school, the girls hop out and back into his arms. The girls behind the name RaeAnn may be benefitting the most from it’s creation; being blessed with more time with Dad.
Thanks to a dream.
